Since Thursday night last week, Dallas has been hit with some pretty nasty, icy weather.
In all honesty, it’s not THAT bad. Living in Wisconsin for 20 years, weather like this is pretty typical for me and the reaction to it here was hilarious. Literally the entire city was shut down Friday and a lot of businesses were closed all weekend, which seemed a little excessive. However, Texas doesn’t have the experience dealing with this kind of weather or the equipment to properly handle it, so I understand everyone’s concerns. Better safe than sorry!
And it was a good excuse to stay inside and enjoy some peppermint coffee and Netflix.
My university has been closed since Thursday afternoon, so finals week had to be juggled around. I’m still waiting to hear what will happen to my exam that was supposed to be tonight, but the rest of my in-class exams are on Thursday, so I’m sure the school will open by then.
Finals week always means a good excuse to wear comfy workout clothes 24/7 and I didn’t let the weather hinder that rule. I bought this new Nike Dry-Fit training top/sweatshirt that I’m pretty much obsessed with now. It was on clearance and I’m SO glad I snagged it while it was still available!
