When it comes to winters in Wisconsin, there’s snow, freezing cold, ice, blizzards, wind, and a whole lot of other not-so-fun stuff.
You really expect me to get this car out of the driveway? Not happening.
What else isn’t so fun? Dry, cracked, moisture-lacking skin.
I can always tell that winter has arrived when my hands start getting chapped.
So when Tropical Traditions offered to let me do a review on their Peppermint Moisturizing Cream, I jumped at the opportunity!
First off, let me just say this cream is incredible! By the second time I used it in the same day, I noticed a huge difference in the moisture level of my hands. Let’s just say my hands have already taken quite the beating from the cold, and this moisturizing cream literally turned them around! They felt softer and smoother, and the cracks healed almost completely. Seriously impressive!
The cream itself is extremely thick and butter-like. This isn’t really a bad thing, but just something to keep in mind so you know what to expect. I noticed my hands felt a little “greasy” for about 30 minutes after applying, but I was very willing to put up with it for the results!
The scent of this cream is also exceptional! It smells truly like peppermint and not like the fake peppermint crap at Bath & Body or other similar stores. It was subtle and also energizing. I like a little holiday scent! ![]()
Overall, A++++!!!

I don’t like all the looks of that snow, Heather, don’t remind us of what’s to come just yet! ha. That being said, I’m with you. My hands tend to get really dry in the winter too. Anything with coconut oil in it to moisturize is okay in my books!
This sounds great! I love that it’s all natural.

I swim about two times a week in the winter and the chemicals make my skin so dry.

This sounds awesome, my hands get SO dry in the winter!
Whoa. That’s some serious snow!! I’ve never seen it like that before!
I’d use the cream for the exact same reason. While we don’t get snow, we do get a ton of bitter, freezing wind that dries out hands!
I already follow you on Twitter.
I live in Wisconsin too and get really bad eczema in the winter months, so I think this cream would help immensely.

I have a hard time finding products that are free of irritating ingredients, since I have extremely chemical-sensitive skin. This moisturizing cream sounds great, and the ingredients look pretty impressive!

I get dry itchy skin in the winter and would to see if this would help.

I am a potter, and after three or four hours of working with clay and water, my hands are sometimes so dry that they itch, flake, hurt, or crack. I could definitely use a heavier moisturizer for my poor hands, especially in the winter!
